6-year old Sonny is one of those rare horses that just
truly likes people. He's been the beneficiary of much positive interaction
and training, and is invariably the first horse
to come over in the pasture, with Buddy usually not far behind. He's
very well broke, with a one-hand neck rein, side passes, backs, and
generally handles to perfection. He came off a South Dakota ranch, where
he was primarily the wife's horse, and they raised him from a weanling.
He's had the full spectrum of ranch work, as well as trail riding in
the badlands and mountain use since he moved here to Montana. He is
gentle for anyone, with a quiet, easy-going, and yes, sunny disposition.
He stands a smigen under 15 hands, ~ 1000#, or perhaps a bit more as
he's ever so slightly portly from his unlimited diet of incredible forage
this spring. I don't have time or patience
for
confining my horses, much prefer to keep the pounds off 'em through
usage, and now that summer is finally here Sonny is in for (even more)
regular riding. Come check him out, and you'll want to take him home,
I feel certain...
His bloodlines are impeccable, featuring Driftwood, Bonanza,
King, and Sugar. Negative Coggins, shod, wormed, vaccinated, absolutely
sound, and more than that; the kind of horse everyone likes, and vice
versa.
